Cerclage
A cervical cerclage is a procedure where we use sutures or a synthetic tape to close your cervix. It can be performed through the vagina or more rarely, through the abdomen. This can help reduce the risk of second trimester miscarriages and preterm delivery. This procedure may be recommended if you have a short cervix, if your cervix is dilating and opening too early, or if you have a history of second trimester pregnancy loss or premature birth.
Our Care Approach
High-risk pregnancies take specialized care. But we believe it also takes a trusting partnership where you feel comfortable to share your concerns, fears, and challenges. We believe that by working together, we can make sure you have the healthiest pregnancy possible.
