Susan M. Thrasher, DNP, APRN is originally from Lawrence, Kansas. She received her nursing degree from Rockhurst University–Research College of Nursing, her master’s degree from Research College of Nursing, and her doctoral degree from Wichita State University.
Dr. Thrasher has worked with pregnant women for more than 20 years in various roles including labor and delivery RN, inpatient perinatal nurse practitioner, and director of Women’s Services at a large tertiary care center. She is actively involved, and has held leadership positions, within the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Dr. Thrasher is a published author on the topic of integrating a new obstetrical residency program in a community hospital. She is board certified by the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner and holds multiple national certifications related to maternal and fetal nursing. She takes great pride in delivering exceptional, family-centered care and collaborating with families during challenging pregnancies.
Dr. Thrasher enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, travelling, and stitching cross stitch projects. She is extremely excited to be part of Perinatal Specialists of Kansas City and is proud to work with such a fantastic team of pregnancy experts.
